Introduction
ACT Department Photo

Welcome to the Apparel and Communication Technologies Department. The Apparel and Communication Technologies Department offers the core courses for the following programs:

Bachelor of Science in:
Apparel Design and Development
Graphic Communications Management
Information Technology Management
Information and Communication Technologies.

Master of Science in:
Information and Communication Technologies.


In addition, the Department offers courses in broad-based technology, educational & business media, web development, photography, video production, and communications.

The Department employees:
20 Faculty and Instructional Academic Staff Members
4 Non-Instructional Academic Staff Members
1 Classified Staff
3 Graduate Assistants
60 Student Employees.



The diversity of faculty and staff provides an eclectic array of expertise to complement the course offerings of the Department. The ACT Department is an innovator of off-campus offerings and a leader in the utilization of appropriate technology. The Department was the leader in the digital campus initiative. The Department piloted the first laptop program, with students in the Graphic Communications Management program receiving notebook computers in the Fall of 2000.
